About Mia and the Creative Process

When life becomes stressful or overwhelming and I'm unsure what will happen next, I pause and meditate. With emptiness achieved and self-criticism released, I visualize a blank canvas waiting to come alive. Each brush stroke becomes a sacred act in sacred time and space.

When oil paints caress my canvas, a world of realism appears effortlessly. But when inspiration falls from rainbows, playful watercolors begin their journey; Formless images emerge, and I go with the flow.

When my childlike world of fantasy and whimsy is awakened, fabric designs take center stage. My designing mind embellishes dolls and 'pillows with personality'.

When ink dances across my drawing board, the details of my life are at play, whether abstract or permanent. Unconscious doodles take shape, and my pen takes control.

But when mixed media materials gather around my workspace, waiting to be noticed, anything can happen. This unplanned phenomenon sparks endless possibilities. Scraps of stained glass come together to form a colorful tapestry of my life, and when I'm too high on life, I like to play with clay for grounding and direction, or cut through anger and create beautiful wood portraits.

And when Spirit, archetypal images, or souls from the other side unexpectedly appear in my energy field, 'psychic mediumship artwork" is in the making, but I cannot take the credit.
