Creating something from nothing is my medicine for life. It's so rewarding, especially when there's a need for balance in my life. It begins with meditation. When an empty, receptive, mind is achieved relinquished of self-criticism, a blank canvas waits to come alive. Each brush stroke becomes a ceremony in sacred time and space. Pro-creating is my drug of choice and medicine for survival.
When oils decide to play on my canvas they speak of substance in my tangible world of realism, and watercolors remind me to go-with-the-flow in everyday circumstances.
If pen and ink tap dance into my studio I make quick sketches of rough ideas, abstract or permanent as they may seem.
When mixed mediums gather around my workspace waiting to be noticed, anything can happen. I follow my instincts without plan or reason till a variety of objects fall in place. The scattered or missing parts of my life, finally join as one masterpiece. This unplanned phenomenon stimulates the senses.
But when Spirit, archetypes, or souls from the other side pop into my energy field unannounced, I acknowledge Mediumship Artwork in progress.
Handpainted, Quilted, Embellished, Fabric Designs
When my childlike world of fantasy and whimsy awakens, fabric designs take center stage. My mind runs wild with characters who breathe into me and come alive.
A variety of fabrics are tossed together in rhythms of brilliant or muted colors, handpainted, quilted, and embellished with a distinct message to communicate.

When I'm excited about a new idea and want to make it real, I ground myself in clay from Mother Earth. Muddy hands get a work out pounding, rolling, molding, and scoring it with detail, then baking it. Wala! A new creation born.
I use wood for therapy to cut through anger and negative emotions. I saw, carve, whittle, sand, and stain it until it satisfies a fundamental need within me. It's great for mental-emotional balancing - like a spiritual connection with the Divine.
