REVIEW

Review times in your life when emotions ran wild and wrong decisions were made (trauma, illness, divorce, loss). Become aware of how it altered your life path. Accept responsibility for your part in the outcome, then forgive yourself for allowing it to happen. "Easier said than done" you say?  Maybe, but it's time to stop suppressing emotions which keep you stuck in past. Begin at the beginning.  Emotions Anonymous.org Step-by-Step Workbook Step #1. Describe your home-life during childhood; Describe your relationship with important people in your life; Be thorough with each specific relationship. Include your emotions, not a list of events. Above all be truthful and gentle with yourself. 

RELEASE and Let-Go

Let Go of the draining, unfulfilling relationships, situations, and old belief systems that are not conducive to your growth (unsupportive, people and situations that drain your energy). Begin by meditating on what and who needs to be eliminated from your life; Honor them for what you learned); Bless them; then detour around them - always letting go with love, trusting the outcome is not in your hands.

REPLACE and RESTORE 

Replace them with positive, loving, supportive people and situations that Restore your sanity. Tap into your innate creative Self and use it (as Medicine) to overcome obstacles.  E.A. Just for Today #7  I will know I have a purpose in life. I  may not know what it is but I will enjoy the journey. I will save myself from two pests, hurry and indecision.  Be patient with the process.

We stop talking about our pain and begin journaling our way to recovery. New to journaling? Begin writing overwhelming emotions on a calendar i.e. anxiety, fear; anger; loneliness; resentment; indecision etc. NOT a list of events. ONLY emotions. After one month, you can look back and see what you need to work on.
